DJ SB just released his latest house mix about three days ago and its the only thing I’ve been listening to. This kids mixes have always been pretty solid but he has definitely stepped his game up with this one. He eases the crowd into this mix with some great deep house sounds but turns the heat up about mid way through with those driving four on the floor bass lines, and complex percussion. Enjoy.

Jimmy Burns aka James Burnell of Boulder is on fire with these two tracks. I featured this gentlemen just a couple short weeks ago and he has let us know that they are up for FREE DOWNLOAD!! If you don’t know already him yet, here’s the perfect opportunity. His track Stellar is dubbed perfectly with fading dynamic synths and a dirty beat, it strays from the norm in a lot of the trap that I have heard lately. Bad Tings is definitely heavier and sticks true to trap-style music with heavy hitting bass, filthy trills, and a beat guaranteed to get you off your feet. Make sure to follow him on FACEBOOK and keep your eyes and ears out for these two tracks and much more from Jimmy Burns.

Its been a long while since my last post but im ready to get back in the game with a dope track from Oh Snap!! Atom has found its way into the sets of many and with good reason…its a hard hitting electro track that always gets the crowd moving no matter what. Oh Snap!! has taken Atom and turned it into one of the better Trap Bootlegs i’ve heard to date. If any of you out there have fallen for the trap bug as hard as I have you’re bound to love this track.

Yema is a three track EP coming to us all the way from Toronto, Canada. Released on Provoke Records this is Damn Kids second official release. I had never heard of Damn Kids before today but was taken aback by his serious knack for producing an insanely unique tribal house. He keeps it super minimal but uses very ethnic samples the entire EP and keeps all three tracks teeter tottering between the tech house and deephouse genres brilliantly.
The title track is driven by tribal drum patterns and a dense underlying bass-line…while very minimal, the vocals and heavy bass will get you moving. Totem still carries the same tribal drums and bass line, but layers on more elements of percussion throughout. The third and final track is definitely the darkest and most minimal. Buti is a collaborative effort from Damn Kids and Caruzo that really brings this EP into the minimal house realm with its sparse instrumentation.
Damn Kids is a producer with a passion worth watching grow. His career is young, and his list of achievements is short, but he has found something that takes other artists decades to develop; a sound of his own. I cant wait to see whats next for this kid. Make sure to support Damn Kids and head on over to Beatport for the EP.
