Not even a year ago, Savoy dropped their Supertrail EPon the world and were brought to my attention right about the same time. They shocked us with their ability to combine electro, progressive house, and dubstep into one amazingly produced and now highly recognized album. Their ability to create original tracks that capture your mind with melodic vocals, and surprise you with electro-dubstep drops will keep your energy up and want you wanting more and more. Their newest release I Dare You does everything their tracks have done in the past – blow me away. It’s out now on BEATPORT so make sure you grab it and show them some love!
You know, we’re not really ones to throw hour long mixtapes in your face all the time mostly because the length tends to immediately draw people away from putting it in their arsenals. Mixtapes are a special breed of music altogether, a direct contribution of an artists own liking to the music world in hopes to get people on their feet, in the mood and dancing. In this mix Mikey Gotham accomplishes just that. Using only the freshest tracks and many of your new (and old) favorites, his transitions are perfect for the dancefloor. If you’re going to be in Santa Barbara this coming weekend, make sure to check Mikey Gotham‘s set LIVE at EOS –> CLICK HERE <– for more info. Enjoy!
I love it when an artist reaches out to you in hopes of your posting their song, and about 45 seconds in you realize you’ve found yourself a gem. This New York duo has been on the rise for some time now and OHD agrees, Drew and Alex that are TheChainsmokers(hope their lungs are good, ’cause I want them around for a while) are destined for massive notoriety. Enjoy this amazing electro-house remix of one of my all time favorite indie bands!
You know, we’ve been big fans of Disco Friesfor a number of years now and these guys are so incredibly consistent in what they release that it’s remarkably refreshing to be able to come back to their tracks at any point and be nothing but surprised at their work. Amongst all the shit that flies around lately – with focuses on trap, dubstep and all the styles in between its nice to find a group that stays within a genre they know they can absolutely destroy. Thanks to Disco Fries and their version of Calvin Harris‘ Sweet Nothing and forcing it on a blind date with Wolfgang Gartner we can all be happy again. Enjoy this electro-house gem; I know I am.
No wait. This right now is exactly what I needed. Case & Point shamelessly mashing Kavinsky, DadaLife, and what is that… JustinBieber into one massive electro-house mashup guaranteed to get your shi* moving. This track is absolutely massive and a must-have for any good dj’s library. I always hear people talking about the decline of mashups and the focus that upcoming artists have on creating/producing their own sound but I think that something must be said for an artist to be able to mash songs together and create an incredible sound like this one. Case & Point have nailed it. Enjoy!
I am so stoked on this track right now, the boys at Charity Strike just released an absolutely MASSIVE house rendition of Blue Milk for Big Chocolate‘s remix competition. With a heavy bassline, massive drops and a FILTHY synth line, these gents are headed straight for the win. Make sure to vote for them over at Indaba to give them the respect & recognition they deserve for their work. Enjoy
We’ve been big fans of Feed Me from the get go and I’m happy to say that today, Feed Me has released his brand new EP called Death By Robot - an incredible contribution to the electro-house scene. JonGooch, as he is known by his friends and family has done it yet again. With the single of the EP (Death By Robot) being somewhat upbeat and catchy to kicking it off with Gravel,a hard-hitting, filthy and yet beautifully composed 6 minute gem. Yet somehow, I don’t think the EP title could be any more informative on how it might sound. Here it is! Enjoy.
Santa Barbara natives Candyland (Josie Martin & Ethan Davis) have just released their Bring the Rain EP. After a massive year of growth and worldwide recognition, a nationwide tour and countless shows, this sweet, sticky fingered, lip-smacking duo deliver the best in dubstep and electro-house with this release. I bring you Bring the Rain – which is more electro than dubstep for a small preview, but make sure to check beatport and download their album!
