This remix is honestly perfection. Combining trap high hats and and beat with the crunchy synths (my fuckn jam) all while smashing the original melody in and out of the beat and into your face. Flume has done it yet again. His remix that he dropped of Disclosure‘s You & Me was dropped just less than 8 hours ago and has blown the fu** up!!! And with reason, this guy has made this track his own with his own unique style. With the hard-yet-soft ethereal drop coming it right about one minute in, it stays true to the original track but has Flume written all over it. Check out this MASSIVE remix.

Cover Friday: Daft Punk – Random Access Memories + Get Lucky (Daughter + Vanderway Edit)

I realize we just posted a cover of this last Cover Friday, however, seeing as “Get Lucky” has been by far the biggest track of the past month or so, it shouldn’t be too surprising so many other dope covers/remixes/edits have been surfacing.  Although I’m not sure you can call this first one a cover from Vanderway, it’s really more of a remix/edit with added vocals, I’m posting it anyways ’cause it’s that good.  Daughter‘s cover has been blowing up since she performed it for BBC Radio 1′s Live Lounge last week.  Personally, I’m still not convinced about it but I figured I’d post it anyways.  Entirely different than the original (literally the complete opposite of what the song was intended to be) but still retains an endearing quality about it somehow.  Listen/download both below.

Got a couple new remixes from the remix maestro himself, RAC.  He takes Bastille‘s “Laura Palmer” and Capital Cities‘ “Safe And Sound” and gives them the classic RAC treatment.  I just love everything this man gets his hands on and this Bastille remix may be my new favorite of the week.

The Knocks - Modern Hearts Ft. St. Lucia

The Knocks and St. Lucia on one track? I mean f*ck yea I’ll take it. This is the kind of electro music that makes me nostalgic and as I’ve said before, I am so glad that this type of music is making its way back onto the scene. Maybe it’s the weather, maybe it’s everyone getting tired of dubstep, trap and moombahton (which I love, mind you) but it sure is refreshing to see this small revival and I can’t help but pass it on to you. St. Lucia & The Knocks clash to provide epic vocals, unbeatable driving synths and one hell of an amazing indie dance beat to top it all off. Enjoy.
