Got a couple new remixes from the remix maestro himself, RAC. He takes Bastille‘s “Laura Palmer” and Capital Cities‘ “Safe And Sound” and gives them the classic RAC treatment. I just love everything this man gets his hands on and this Bastille remix may be my new favorite of the week.
So Peitzke sent me his Coachella Mix and I felt it definitely worth sharing. Peitzke has always blown me away with his under-the-radar mixing and production capabilities – producing some of the top played remixes in my library and unforgettable mixtapes. This being one of the same that you need to add to your collection. It combines new indie, dance, and some of your favorite fresh electro and dubstep gems into a 40 minute dance mix ready for you to hit play and enjoy. So enjoy!
Gotta say, as a long time fan of nu-disco kings Hey Champ, I am never let down by any of the epic, feel-good music that these gents produce. As of this week they released their latest track titled “Comet” featuring BeuKes. And just as I stated, I was not disappointed. They nail it every time in their production value, and the uniqueness of sound that always gets people coming back. I felt that as a bonus I should probably include their other latest track as of 2 months ago so that those of you who are not familiar with Hey Champ could almost become a connoisseur. Anyway, enjoy kids.
Something to be said about arpeggio’s in music, right? Something about this track just sucked me right in, from start to finish. The vocals, the beat, the synth arpeggios. The beat reminds a bit of Lady Gaga‘s Alejandro which upon investigation is nearly exactly the same, but that is a testament to how easily this song will get lodged in your brain. A solid feel good track thats totally danceable. Pleather did an amazing job on this remix so make sure to show them some love!
I love it when an artist reaches out to you in hopes of your posting their song, and about 45 seconds in you realize you’ve found yourself a gem. This New York duo has been on the rise for some time now and OHD agrees, Drew and Alex that are TheChainsmokers(hope their lungs are good, ’cause I want them around for a while) are destined for massive notoriety. Enjoy this amazing electro-house remix of one of my all time favorite indie bands!
I’ve been meaning to do another one of these for a while now and today I was really just in the mood and had enough time on my hands to put it together, so here you go. This is kind of just a mix of alternative/indie/some electronic originals and remixes I’ve been listening too a lot over the past couple of months. Songs most noteworthy are: one of Foals‘ latest songs, titled “My Number” off their recently released album Holy Fire(which I highly suggest you check out), Wild Party‘s catchy hit “When I Get Older,” which just puts me in a good mood every time I hear it, and a personal favorite from Unknown Mortal Orchestra and their song “So Good At Being In Trouble.” I also threw in some older tracks that have recently popped back up on my radar that deserved some renewed attention.
Why yes, Sound Remedy has done it again. These guys endlessly deliver some of my favorite tracks. Here they’ve remixed Last Lynx‘s Killing Switch – once again staying true to the original beauty of the unaltered track whilst flawlessly incorporating dazzling synth-lines and just the right about of ‘dub.’ After getting over 10k plays in less than 24 hours, I have to say that there’s a reason these guys have grown as fast as they have. By the way, all you Santa Barbara (+greater area) people – Sound Remedy is booked to play a show here that you do NOT want to miss – CHECK IT OUT.
I’m not usually a big advocate of mash-ups with more than a couple songs being mashed together but this compilation from Troika really turned out well. I’ve really been on and off with house music lately but with something like this I’m reminded of why I first started enjoying it all those years ago. Troika’s got some other good mixes I figured I’d throw in too. Check ‘em out and be sure to like/follow his pages below to stay up to date with all his latest productions.
