One of my favorite dubstep producers / remix artists has done it yet again. This time Clark Kent takes Don Diablo‘s and Matt Nash‘s epic original Starlight and transforms it into a heavy dubstep banger that stays true to the melodic catchiness that it once was … but slaps you across the face with grimey goodness right when you want it to. You know that feeling. Enjoy.

Yes, I’m making this a thing because in all honesty, there is far too much music out right now for me to construct separate posts for them all. So what I’m doing, incase you missed the first CYF (Choose Your Flavor) is compiling all my favorite tracks from the last couple weeks – maybe not all favorites but definitely noteworthy – and putting them in a place where you can just push play, while studying, driving, or whatever it is you kids do these days and CHOOSE YOUR FLAVORS.
Nirvana (TIP’s Promised Land Remix) – Sam Smith
Breathe (Extended) – Anna Lunoe
You’re The One For Me – Great Good Fine Ok
Come Save Me (Flight Facilities Graceland Remix) – Jagwar Ma
Another Love (Zwette Edit) – Tom Odell
Hurricane (Cassian Remix) – Owl Eyes
When The Night Is Over (CLAPTONE Remix) – The Magician
Tegan and Sara – definitely one of my favorite pairs of fantastic twin vocalists to ever exist on planet Earth remixed by the French disco king Monsieur Adi? I honestly couldn’t ask for a better combination. That’s like watching a whole fleet of kittens in shark costumes riding rumba’s and battling with light sabers…. Something like that. All I know for sure, is that this remix that Monsieur Adi conjured up is gonna reach your top played by the end of this week. Mark my words.

Okay, to be honest, we all know this, MGMT‘s Electric Feel - is unfortunately outdated at this point, considering it was released in 2010. Has been attempted to be remixed by countless ‘producers’ over the years that have absolutely butchered the original. This track for you, probably like it does for me, transports me to the most nostalgic of times with the best of friends – drinking, partying, kissing, dancing in a dreamy world all too far gone that it’s nearly forgotten – but of course NEVER forgotten. Gespleu’s edit of Henry Green‘s remix of the MGMT original STAYS TRUE to the greatness of Electric Feel while making it so uniquely their own that I just had to share. Enjoy this remix gem.

An old time remix favorite of mine, Kulkid- you may remember him as the guy that produced the impeccable #1 on Hypem Bon Iver and Lana Del Rey remixes. Check them out if you haven’t heard them yet. Kulkidhails from beautiful France and creates remix gems – and in my opinion this one is right on par with his past electronic remix gems. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. Enjoy :)
Our boys The Chainsmokers are at it again. Drew and Alex have absolutely killed this remix of The Wanted‘s We Own The Night - transforming it into a perfect progressive house banger. I have to admit, I’m not the biggest fan of The Wanted in general but The Chainsmokershave an incredible ability to transform entire songs and make them completely their own. You’re not going to want to miss this one, show them some love and get your paws on this remix.

Bay area based DJ/ Producer, Kaptain, has just released his latest remix of Zedd’s “Stay The Night.” While we are used to hearing hard-hitting moombahton from Kaptain, it’s nice to hear him experimenting with different styles, and more-so excelling in them. I especially like this one because it has a chill tempo, yet still maintain’s a good amount of energy. Make sure to check out the rest of his work on his Soundcloud. Enjoy.
Ianborgteamed up with Bronze Whale to create this amazing remix of Jaymes Young‘s “Moondust.” The two completely added a new feel to the track with their addition of the snare-style synths, all while keeping the downtempo sound. This has got to be one of the best remixes of September. Enjoy.
