Jakwob – Fade (Feat. Maiday)

Fade (Featuring Maiday) - Jakwob

My old-time favorite British mastermind producer Jakwob just dropped this single off his upcoming EP of the same title, ‘Fade.’ I’ve loved everything that he’s produced in the past from dubstep remixes to DnB influenced chillstep, and this single is no different. With beautiful vocal support from Maiday to create an etherial and incredibly memorable track that jetset his EP to the top of my most anticipated albums of 2013. Enjoy

New Slang (Slinks Remix) – The Shins

Got a nice mellow remix of an unforgettable classic from The Shins. I think most of you, if not all of you know this track and will undoubtedly connect on some level tonight. I know I did. It’s nice to come across mellow tracks once in a while that are both beautifully crafted and equally inspiring. Dj Slink delivers just that with his version of New Slang. Holding true to original elements from the track yet pulling and dragging this old favorite into a trap-esque downtempo track that I feel must be dubbed as an original… At least by me. Enjoy.

[Nu-Disco] French Kiss – Throttle

Destined for the stars, 16-year-old Aussie dj/producer Throttle has done it once again! His remix of Flo Rida’s Whistle (hear it here) has been our most downloaded track for the last couple weeks and this up and comer deserves all the attention he can get – that’s what we’re here for :). For those that don’t know, Throttle started djing at 13 and it was soon after this that he discovered Madeon and was inspired by the fact that he too was a fast growing producer at the ripe young age of 16. Throttle then began using ableton just over a year ago and has been making a strong name for himself ever since.

Listen, and keep reading :)

French Kiss - Throttle

I had to ask… what’s behind the name Throttle anyway? He answered himself by saying,

There’s really no reason behind the name Throttle, except that I was on a family holiday in Italy and we were all trying to come up with a name and I have a feeling i saw it written somewhere and felt that it would be cool – plus I wanted something with two syllables so that if I ever became famous it would be a good name to chant – don’t ask me why! haha.”

Throttle prides himself in the fact that he tries to please people with different types of music taste by appealing to dubstep heads, electro lovers, disco lovers and more.

I don’t really have a signature genre at all though, for example I’m currently making a dubstep song, a progressive song, a funky song and an electro song! I just produce what i feel like at the time! My influences are mainly anyone that has tried something new. Im influenced by all artists ranging from madeon to skrillex to Breakbot to Avicii to Louis la Roche – I love all music!!

Great to hear personally from such an aspiring and young artist. Make sure to keep your ears (and eyes – like I always say) open for Throttle’s upcoming releases by following via the links below!

Mellow (Original Mix) – Nause

Nause is a new name to me all together. The duo consists of two guys based in Stockholm Sweden. They were brought to my attention via a Swedish friend of mine I met through friends at school. They started out by DJing at various nightclubs in Stockholm and became interested in starting to produce their own music. By early 2012 they hit the road for the first time on tour. So far I would say they are doing very well for themselves. This track is one of maybe a dozen tracks they have made, or remixed so far. I believe that this track is one that can really show, and capture the essence of Nause and where they are headed.

Again And Again (Original) – Basto

So, obviously this is nothing new. However it put me in a good enough mood, that I simply could not hold myself back from posting it up for you all to enjoy again (and again). Right from the start Basto really captures that happy melody and keeps it coming for the entirety of the track. Though there lyrics are minimal, the overall ora the song gives off, over compensates for that.

Who Cares – Archie Cane & Dream

Hey guys! I have got a real hard hitter for you all today. Kept meaning to share this one but I have been staying really busy. However here it is for you all today. This track opens up with a mysterious reparative beat, but then wait; the drop is insane! “HEY IT’S DUBSTEP WHO CARES!” I believe, is the first sample before the drop and gets me so pumped! I’m surprised I had not heard this one sooner as it is not extremely recent. Anyways if you enjoy Dubstep this one is for you. Keep and eye out for the name Archie Cane. It can only mean good music.

Have a great Sunday!
