It’s rainy, it’s cloudy, it’s miserable out, all I wanna do is stay inside and crawl back into bed. It’s been some time since our last Chill Mix and figured today was a perfect day for another follow up. In no particular order, here’s a collection of low-key electronic tracks spanning the past few months or so that I’ve been meaning to share with you all.
So I’ve been rather busy and haven’t been posting as consistently as I would’ve liked, henceforth this little recap post. I’m not gonna go into detail on all the songs featured; everything is just a collection of my pick’s from the past week or so. Most notable are: 1) Lana‘s “Young and Beautiful” off the upcoming Great Gatsby soundtrack 2) New Empire of the Sun!!! 3) Disclosure‘s latest featuring Eliza Doolittle 4) “24k” feat. A$AP Rocky which samples one of my favorite songs of all time 5) TNGHT‘s latest banger, “Acrylics” which I was fortunate enough to see live this past weekend at Coachella, and lastly 6) My favorite song offKid Cudi‘s recently released album Indicud (out now on iTunes) featuring the lovely Haimsisters.
Got a couple new remixes from the remix maestro himself, RAC. He takes Bastille‘s “Laura Palmer” and Capital Cities‘ “Safe And Sound” and gives them the classic RAC treatment. I just love everything this man gets his hands on and this Bastille remix may be my new favorite of the week.
These spring vibing mixes just keep coming. Goldroomis the latest to lay down his own interpretation of the season. Not much to be said here; this is just another perfect poolside collection of tracks. I’d encourage you to grab your favorite fruity alcoholic beverage, head on down to the beach/pool, and put your feet up to this funky fresh disco-house compilation.
Alright alright I’m not gonna lie, this song has grown on me – albeit because of all these amazing remixes. There’s something about any new Justin Timberlake that gets people all hot and bothered and his latest single, “Suit & Tie” off his recently released album, The 20/20 Experience, is no different. I’m sure you’ve all heard the original a million times over by now so you’re probably ready for a few new remixes. I’ve been diggin’ the Aeroplane remix personally but they’re all rather good so take your pick. Pick up The 20/20 Experience via iTunes.
There’s been so many good remixes of this song being put out recently I figured it was about time to make a post. Little Daylight are a indie-pop trio who up until the release of this song, have been specifically doing remixes. They’ve done a few for bands like Passion Pit, The Temper Trap, and Niki and The Dove to name a few. Not too long ago they did a remix of The Mowgli’s track “San Francisco,” which was probably my favorite of theirs up until now. ”Overdose” is their first official original track and it’s as good as any remix they’ve done – only this time it’s their own. I’ve included the original and 3 of my favorite remixes of the song. I’m still undecided on which I prefer the most; all of them are equally as good in their own individual way. If you haven’t already, be sure to show Little Daylight some love by liking/following them via the links below.

So, the new Bond theme song was just released and who better to be the one behind it than the biggest female vocalist in the world at the moment, Adele. It’s only been out a week (if that) and we already have some finished remixes. I’m pretty down for this Theatre of Delays remix. I also thought I’d throw in this Azedia one too for all you dubstep fiends.
