Summit Feat. Ellie Goulding (Aylen Remix) – Skrillex

As most of you might have figured already, im a big fan of Aylen and his electro remixes. Yesterday, he announced his remix of Skrillex’s Summit. The original is a beautiful and pretty mellow track that Skrillex dropped in his Bangarang EP which released this past week. Aylen takes this track, speeds it up and fills it with those infectious basslines and electro synths at the drop. This kid fucking killed it this year. Can’t wait to see what he’ll be bringing us in 2012. Enjoy

Bangarang EP – Skrillex

Well now, c’mon folks. I couldn’t let this one slip through the cracks… Skrillex released his brand new (and I believe first, EP) Bangarang EP today. Below are a few of the tracks coming off of it and honestly, I’m impressed. I’m particularly excited to hear Ellie’s voice again in Summit, but Skrillzzz has done a fantastic job with this more-on-the-mellow-side dubstep track. This entire EP is pretty damn epic… The prince of EDM and dubstep has done it again and what a great way for him to close off 2011!!? A perfectly solid EP that I know you and the world will enjoy for quite some time.

Skrillex – Breath + Remixes

Being one of the biggest names in the EDM scene, Skrillex has been killing it lately. His tracks are irresistible and he’s up for five nominees at this years Grammys. His remix of Avicii’s Levels was a hit a few weeks back and his new song Breathe has been blowing up on the blogosphere. Here’s the original, a vocal mix by Krewalla, and a nice little dubstep mix by Michael White. Enjoy.

Levels (Skrillex Remix) – Avicii

I saw & heard this remix when it dropped sometime a couple days ago and didn’t really give it too much thought. I don’t know if it’s because there is some deep rooted frustration with someone, especially Skrillex, remixing one of Avicii’s best known tracks or just because it was Skrillex. The last year has been ruled by everything Skrillex. Every one of his tracks almost always hits the charts and he was recognized time and time again by the Grammy’s. He well deserves it but I think I may have hit an overload not too long ago. Despite that, this track deserves some attention. It’s not as heavy as some of Skrillex’s over-killed remixes, which makes me appreciate it just that much more.

Skrillex dropped this one just a couple days ago, and somehow, in the mix of things, I missed it drop.. special thanks to Eddie for showing me this one. Eddie is also a huuuge fan of Skrillex and this track embodies Skrillex’s style, drops and FUKN bass perfectly. If you know Skrillex (who?) and you like his face melting bass and dub – this will do just fine.
