LOL Boys – Changes (ft. Heart Streets)

This one was released a little under a month ago but I’d been saving it to include in the next Chill Mix, however, I’ve been slacking and I figured it could do with its own separate post. ”Changes” featuring Heart Streets is the first song off their recently released EP of the same name (grab Changes in its entirety here). Most of us, myself included, are fairly new to the Montreal/LA outfit LOL Boys, which consists of Markus Garcia and Jerome Porter, respectively. The interesting thing about this duo is that they just put out a whole EP living in entirely separate countries. These days, with the ability to send information back in forth in a matter of seconds, composing music this way has become easier to do and seemingly a lot more popular, especially among the lesser known artists who can’t exactly afford to fly out to where they need to be every time and/or own an actual studio. From what I’ve heard, the two have never actually been in the same room to record a song, which judging by the quality of the EP is pretty cool if you ask me. They just put out the official video for the song today. I also figured I’d throw in the Shlohmo remix as well (also quite good).
