I have been waiting a long time to share this with you all. Finally the time has come. Mikey Gotham is a Santa Barbara local, and good friend to all of us here at OHD. Mikey has been diligently working on producing his own music over the last year, and is now slowly making a name for himself. For having only started producing recently, and furthermore having only worked in the music realm for less than a year; we see a lot of potential. His newly released Original Mix Vibez is awesome; along with many of his other remixes that have been put fourth in the last year. Vibez in particular though has really caught my attention. It has an epic feel and multiple high-energy build ups throughout the entire track. It’ll make you want to just get up and run, you’ll see. Make sure to check out his facebook, twitter, and soundcloud as you listen to these beats. I can see some more serious stuff coming from Mikey in the near future, so stay locked in.

I absolutely love indie dance/ disco. Not only do I enjoy the sound, but the fact that it’s not a genre you come across everyday makes it very desirable as well. Fake Love by Blende features song slow-paced disco beats with synth-infused female vocals. Reminds me a bit of Pnau. Enjoy.
Just in case you missed Blende‘s take on Videogames:

This is easily one of the most epic and cleverly crafted heavy hitting, but mellow dubstep tracks that I have heard in quite a long time. The vocals of Cristina Soto will take you away as Seven Lions brings you on a journey of synths, dub and dance with Jeff Montalvo’s (Seven Lions) version of Still With Me by Tritonal. Seven Lions has been taking the world by storm with his incredible style and impeccable production capability – all with the humbleness of a man who has no idea what he’s doing to the genre of dubstep. This is an ABSOLUTE NECESSITY for anyone – Enjoy!!

Late on this one, but this track for sure deserves some recognition. This is a fantastic house track that features an immense build up leading to a hard drop of infectious vocal samples from Moby‘s In This World. Happy labor day. Enjoy.

Every time I become aware of the fact that Sound Remedy has made a release, I try to make sure to listen to it right away. What follows after is that 10 times out of 10 I end up posting it because their style and productions are top of the line and absolutely amazing. This track by Noosa is a mellow one to begin with but once again, Sound Remedy makes it their own with great dance beats and hi-hat hits. This one is guaranteed to bring anyone and everyone to the dancefloor.

Hope everyone’s Sunday is going well so far. Today I woke up and rummaged through my recent gems and thought these three were up to par. First we have a nice little mashup by the Jane Doze. It was nice to hear a good mashup again; I hadn’t heard a good quality one in a while. This one does the trick though.
Wide Awake All Night Long
Next, I’v got a new track off Bass Science‘s new EP album. Their highly electronic and great use of high notes, mixed with heavy synth is really epic. Plus, this is only one of their great beats on the new EP, which is definitely worth a listen as well over on their Soundcloud.
And finally, we have a mix by Dillon Francis, of Madeon‘s latest creation, Finale. These two together are a match made in heaven. This track is flawless. Almost sounds like they collaborated and made this track together; that takes a lot of tallent and these two have plenty of that.

Thanks to one of my close friends who happened to share this amazing dubstep/ electro house EP coming from SAVOY I am proud and happy to share it with you today. SAVOY is a Brooklyn based group that just released their EP Supertrail. Featuring vocals by Heather Bright on a few of the tracks, this is an EP you’re going to want to check out. The production reminds me of something the likes of Knife Party or Feed Me. Here are just a few of my favorites, and they’re sooo good. Enjoy!
Probably one of the best electro-house tracks that I’ve heard in a looooong time….
Devil's On Horseback - SAVOY
Baby you just want what you can’t have
Never once tried playing this for keeps

And no you can’t have me
This thing you never had, thats why you want it so bad

The Lonsdale Boys Club have made quite an impression on me as of late. With remixes scanning across the board that have time and time again made their way to the top of my most played. This one is going to sit nicely up there with the rest. Talk about production value in this one, they’ve done an incredible job of taking The Kooks to a level I have never heard before.
