One of my all-time favorite producers has just released a flaming, bejeweled monster of a remix. Gigamesh, Minneapolis producer best known for some of the catchiest and most memorable dance tracks (for me) throughout the last several years has done it again – all whilst staying true to his impeccable style with perfectly flowing melodies and unforgettable dance beats. This particular remix of Moullinex‘s Take My Pain Away is slated for release October 9, so watch out for it :) Love this dude – he does it right when you’re looking for something to get you in the feel-good spirit. Enjoy kids.
Got a really nice, catchy dubstep track for you guys tonight! Coming from What So Not, and they deliver a track unlike the majority of dubstep I’ve been hearing. These gents are also quickly climbing to the top of my favorite artists of 2012. Yea I realize there isn’t much left to 2012 at this point but these guys have been delivering all year long. Definitely a mellower dubstep track but not lacking in filth what-so-(not)-ever. Check it out.
Oh boy do I have a treat for you today. For this addition of the Midweek Mix, Danny Page brings on IDEX, an extremely talented DJ/ Producer from Santa Barbara. IDEX has proven himself time and time again with his breath-taking remixes and original’s. This mixtape features a generous amount of the latest and greatest tunes in the EDM scene right now. It’s a great listen from start to finish– I can insure you that you won’t get bored.
As most of you know, Seven Lions has made an absolute killing in the EDM scene from the get-go. Just about every remix he has released has gained a tremendous amount of attention. Well he’s back again with yet another mind blowing remix. Seven Lions adds an uplifting and euphoric sound to the original with his signature wobbles and bass lines. Enjoy.
Destined for the stars, 16-year-old Aussie dj/producer Throttle has done it once again! His remix of Flo Rida’s Whistle (hear it here) has been our most downloaded track for the last couple weeks and this up and comer deserves all the attention he can get – that’s what we’re here for :). For those that don’t know, Throttle started djing at 13 and it was soon after this that he discovered Madeon and was inspired by the fact that he too was a fast growing producer at the ripe young age of 16. Throttle then began using ableton just over a year ago and has been making a strong name for himself ever since.
I had to ask… what’s behind the name Throttle anyway? He answered himself by saying,
There’s really no reason behind the name Throttle, except that I was on a family holiday in Italy and we were all trying to come up with a name and I have a feeling i saw it written somewhere and felt that it would be cool – plus I wanted something with two syllables so that if I ever became famous it would be a good name to chant – don’t ask me why! haha.”
Throttle prides himself in the fact that he tries to please people with different types of music taste by appealing to dubstep heads, electro lovers, disco lovers and more.
I don’t really have a signature genre at all though, for example I’m currently making a dubstep song, a progressive song, a funky song and an electro song! I just produce what i feel like at the time! My influences are mainly anyone that has tried something new. Im influenced by all artists ranging from madeon to skrillex to Breakbot to Avicii to Louis la Roche – I love all music!!
Great to hear personally from such an aspiring and young artist. Make sure to keep your ears (and eyes – like I always say) open for Throttle’s upcoming releases by following via the links below!

“C O O L” is the latest from LA based producer, Le Youth.Love the Cassie sample, love the happy/tropical vibe that has always been a recognizable characteristic in the Le Youth sound. It’s been a few months since his last release (Memories) and I’m stoked he has decided to give us a new one (with a FREE DL!) Thanks, Wes.
